Dr. Rev. John Myers
Vice President, Ethics & Relations
Dr. Myers’ experience and training is primarily in the humanities: values, character, theology, media, interpersonal communications, business ethics and personal motivation. He holds degrees from Purdue University, Duke University and United Theological Seminary. Dr. Myers is an Ordained Minister in the United Methodist Church and he has served pastorates in rural, suburban and urban churches in North Carolina, Indiana and Florida. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Fort Lauderdale’s First United Methodist Church.
Dr. Myers leads seminars and workshops nationwide on Turn Around Strategies for the 21st Century Organization. He provides Keynotes on Vision, Leadership and Excellence. He is also an author of several articles, short stories, and a dissertation entitled, “Networking in the Global Village for the 21st Century.” Dr. Myers communicates the contemporary relevance of what the ancients teach about tangible and intangible wealth found in relationships, investments, philanthropy and the soul. He emphasizes the significance of how this practical age-old knowledge can positively impact the bottom line in both business and personal life.
Dr. Myers founded Myers Media Group, Inc. in 1997 with the focus of producing a third generation of spiritual programs that impact secular society with commercially viable products and services. MMG’s larger goal is to provide exemplary authentic visionary leadership that makes a systemic difference in the 21st Century through networking, partnering and creating alliances with like-minded people, organizations and corporations.
In 1999 Dr. Myers
joined InfoTelesys, Inc as its Vice President of Ethics and Relations. Since that time he has worked closely with Chairman Clive Boustred in
relationship development, business ethics and strategic alliances. He also serves on the InfoTelesys Board of Directors.

Myers Media Group, Inc.
Envisioned and wrote business plan for Myers Media Group, Inc. in 1997. Developed the plan and networked on a national level with corporations such as Lincoln Financial Group, Andersen Consulting, DHR International, and several media and Internet companies to facilitate the goals and objectives of MMG. Dr. Myers also developed Private Placement strategies and documents with attorneys Stradling, Yocca, Carlson and Roth of Newport Beach, California.
Target Ministries, Inc.
Founded and fully responsible for Target Ministries of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The mission of Target Ministries is to motivate and equip Christian leaders to provide excellence in vision, leadership, management, stewardship, capital fundraising and evangelism. Dr. Myers leads workshops, consultations, seminars and keynotes in across the United States and also in Russia.

Dr. Myers is a sought after speaker and a member of the National Speakers Association. His topics include Balancing Career and Family while Enhancing the Bottom Line, Expect Greater Things in Wealth Management and Philanthropy, Visionary Leadership and You Can Turn Your Life Around! Dr. Myers also coined a new philosophy in 1997 called Expect Greater Things, Grow in Greater Things and Do Greater Things. He motivates audiences and groups with this philosophy for life and work across the country.
Dr. Myers has appeared in nationally televised shows on CBS, PBS, Odyssey and on local television in Northern Indiana and in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He is the producer of the television show, Expect Greater Things!
Each church that Dr. Myers led (whether rural, suburban or urban) experienced dynamic growth in terms of membership, community impact and financial health. His longest pastorate of twelve years netted the following results:
Provided visionary leadership, staff management, a commitment to excellence in preaching and worship, evangelism, stewardship motivation, and national and international missional ministries.
Created, designed and oversaw a large staff. Inspired, motivated, recruited and empowered hundreds of volunteers through excellent staff members.
Created and implemented over sixty small groups.
Facilitated Growth: In 1987 Clay United Methodist Church was ranked number 494 out of 615 churches in The North Indiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. In 1996, Clay United Methodist Church was ranked the 266th Largest United Methodist Church in America.
Implemented Quality Worship that resulted in an attendance increase from 80 in 1987 to over 700 over a twelve-year ministry.
Administrated Excellence in Christian Education Programs that increased participation from 60 to 450 children, youth and adults in weekly ministries.
Taught, preached and modeled dynamic stewardship practices that saw a growth in the operating budget in 1987 of $54,000 to a budget of $1,200,000 in 1998. Over that time, per household giving increased from an average of $700 to $2700 per giving unit.
Developed, planned and executed two capital funds campaigns and one bond sale campaign totaling 2.5 million dollars over an nine year period.
Launched, led and produced a weekly television show entitled “The Open Door” reaching a six-county region in Indiana and Michigan.
Envisioned and motivated the congregation to reach beyond its walls to reach the inner city of South Bend as well as other cities across the nation.
Dr. Myers training events throughout the nation teaching how to utilize the media and Internet in church work has been successful. In addition, he speaks on topics of leadership, ethics, management, vision and marketing in both the private and social sectors. Organizations that have utilized his techniques have noted substantial growth.
Dr. Myers’ “Expect Greater Things” philosophy encourages people to believe the best, train for the best and be the best they can be through a relationship with God and through healthy relationships with others. The philosophy teaches people how to Expect Greater Things, Grow in Greater Things and Do Greater Things.
